The Menopause Project: A CLEAR Approach to Perimenopause and Menopause

For many women, perimenopause and menopause arrive with more questions than answers. The hot flushes and mood changes are talked about — but what about the brain fog, the disrupted sleep, the changes to your heart health, your bones, your gut, and your pelvic floor? What about the symptoms that don't come with a name, or the ones your GP didn't have time to explain?

At CLEAR EP, we believe every woman navigating this stage of life deserves more than a pamphlet. That's why we've created The Menopause Project — a 10-week in-person program that brings together expert clinical education, honest group conversation, and exercise built specifically for your changing body.

More Than Hot Flushes and Mood Swings

Perimenopause and menopause are whole-body experiences. Declining oestrogen levels trigger changes that touch almost every system in the body, including:

  • Metabolic health — increased insulin resistance and changes in body composition

  • Heart health — elevated cardiovascular disease risk

  • Bone density — accelerated bone loss increasing fracture risk

  • Brain health — brain fog, memory changes, and mood shifts

  • Gut health — bloating, digestive changes, and nutritional needs

  • Muscle health — changes in muscle fibre type and pelvic floor function

  • Sleep — disrupted cycles, difficulty falling and staying asleep

Understanding what is happening — and why — is the first step to feeling stronger and more in control.

What Is The Menopause Project?

The Menopause Project is a clinically led, 10-week face-to-face program designed for women aged 45–55 navigating perimenopause and menopause. Each week combines three things:

  • Expert education — a new health topic covered in depth each session, led by our accredited exercise physiologists

  • Honest conversation — a structured space to ask questions, share experiences, and connect with women going through the same thing

  • Themed exercise — a strength-based program matched to the week's health topic, so your body and mind are working together

Why Exercise Physiology?

Exercise physiologists are uniquely placed to support women through perimenopause and menopause. We understand the clinical picture — the cardiovascular changes, the bone density losses, the metabolic shifts — and we know how to design exercise that responds to those changes rather than ignoring them.

The Menopause Project isn't a generic fitness class. It's a clinically grounded program that treats exercise as medicine — prescribed with the same care and intention you'd expect from any health professional.

Who Is This Program For?

We're looking for 8 women aged 45–55 who are navigating perimenopause or menopause and want to:

  • Understand what is really happening in their body

  • Build genuine strength — physically and mentally

  • Connect with others going through the same experience

  • Leave with knowledge and a plan for long-term health
